Traditionally, couples take the majority of their wedding photos after the ceremony itself. The primary reason for this is the superstition that it's bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding. However, many people are casting off old superstitions and choosing to have their pictures taken before the ceremony, instead. There are many advantages to this order of events. Brides and bridesmaids typically get their hair and makeup done before the wedding. Even the groom might put a little extra care into styling his hair. Typically, after the wedding ceremony, the bridal party gets together to take photos.
